Vandaag zijn beide projecten klaar om te showen. De binding heb ik gedaan zoals Leah dat op haar quiltalong had gezet. Dit was nieuw voor mij om de binding op de achterkant te maken en de voorkant met een siersteek ook met de machine te doen. Ik zit altijd eindeloos met de hand om te zomen. Niet meer dus! Dit bevalt prima. Ik heb een zigzaggende siersteek genomen omdat ik dit leuk vond bij de microstippling. Sommige rechte lijnen in de beide quilts zien er uit als morse tekens. Daar moet ik nog verder op oefenen en experimenteren met mijn machine. Verder ben ik wel tevreden met het resultaat. Bedankt Leah voor de waardevolle lessen.
Today I finished both of my projects, and it is time to show them. The binding is done the way Leah showed on het freemotion quiltalong. This was new to me, to stitch the binding on the wrong side of the quilt and then machine stitch it on the right side. I always do this by hand. Well no more! I love it. I used a wiggly line for a stitch because I really like this one with the microstippling next to it. The outline quilting and travelstitching need more practise and experimenting with my sewingmachine. Other than that I'm sort of proud of the result. Thank you Leah for your valuable lessons. I'm looking forward to more!!
