365 dag challenge - 1

Zo, dan nu de eerste update van de 365-Dagen Challenge. Als je meer achtergrond wilt weten, kijk dan vooral bij deze link. 365 dagen is best veel. Vooral als je zoals ik, in april bedenkt, dat ik deze wel wil maken. Oké, beginnen met een achterstand, verder geen druk! Gestaag ben ik door de tijd bezig geweest. Voor de zomervakantie liep ik nog 3 weken achter. Na de zomer vakantie waren dat er weer 6. Dit heeft zich langzamerhand uitgebreid naar 13 weken. Het goede nieuws: meer dan 17,5 weken kan het niet worden, dan zitten de 365 dagen er op! Ik sla braaf alles op per dag zodat het helemaal niet uit maakt wanneer ik aan deze quilt werk. De blokken heb ik paraat.
Vandaag heb ik het blok van 1 september gemaakt, een groot hoekblok van 12", best goed gelukt vind ik.
Here's the first update on the 365-days Challenge Quilt. If you want to know more about it, use this link. 365 Days is a long period of time (1 year to be exact), especially if you decide to participate in April, that means a good three months to pick up on. No pressure there!. Slowly but surely I made progress. Just before summer break, I was only 3 weeks behind. After summerbreak, it was 6 weeks again. That slowly went to 13 weeks. The good news: the worst it can get now is 17,5 weeks because that's the end of the year! I save all the blocks daily, so no problem, I can make them when I want. Today I made the september 1 block, a 12"size corner block. I'm proud of it!

1 januari t/m 31 augustus is gemaakt, nog niet alles zit aan elkaar. Wat wel aan elkaar zit ziet er zo uit:
January 1 till August 31 is made as well. Not all is assembled in the quilt, but this is what it looks like at the moment:

Voor de bovenrand en de onderrand heb ik ook al het grootste deel van de paarse blokken gemaakt. Ik moet er nog 6 maken en dan kan de boven en onderrand eraan. Daarna is het weer veel blokken maken voor de zij randen in het paars en nog weer een hele rand met lichte blokken. De quilt wordt heel groot, maar ook heel mooi.

Morgen ga ik weer aan de gang met stap 2 van de Mystery Quilt van Bonnie Hunter. Daar ben ik vorige week ook aan begonnen. Hoe handig is dat. Maar ja het is geen wedstrijd en het blijft leuk om mee te doen.

The upper border and the bottom one is almost made in the dark purple. I need to make 6 more to assemble. Than it is back to building blocks, purple on both sides and white blocks all around, and 3 more corner blocks to go. The quilt is going to be huge, but really gorgeous.

Tomorrow I will do the work on the Mystery Quilt by Bonnie Hunter, Good plan, 2 quilts at the same time! But it is not a contest, I can take all the time I want, it still is really nice to work on both quilts.
